Defensive end Jacob Martin returning to Texans on one-year contract
Defensive end Jacob Martin, who played three seasons for the Texans before leaving in free agency, is returning to Houston for the 2023 season.Houston is bringing back defensive endThe 27-year-old Martin played three seasons for the Texans from 2019-21, amassing 10½ sacks in 45 games, including 15 starts.
His high-water mark was 4 sacks in 2021, when he started 14 of 17 games.the trade that sent Jadeveon Clowney to SeattleMartin signed a three-year, $13.5 million contract with the Jets in March 2022. He recorded 1½ sacks in eight games with New York last season before he was traded at the Nov. 1 deadline to the Broncos, for whom he had one sack in five games.
