PBA veteran Calvin Abueva is now waiting for the confirmation that he would play for Gilas Pilipinas in the upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.

He took to Instagram on Wednesday with a photo, also showing players Jason Perkins, Moala Tautuaa, and Terrence Romeo, all of whom were not named on Gilas' 37-man roster for the Asiad.'I'm waiting for your confirmation to play,' he wrote on Wednesday.

Abueva, Perkins, Tautuaa, and Romeo were temporarily replaced by Chris Ross, Kevin Alas, Arvin Tolentino, CJ Perez and Marcio Lassiter, pending any confirmation from the organizers of the Asian Games.Coach Tim Cone and team manager Alfrancis Chua said in their press conference on Tuesday that it was an emotional Monday night, upon informing the players that they did not make the list.
