Israel kept up its deadly bombardment of Gaza after the Palestinian Hamas group threatened to execute some of the around 150 hostages it abducted in a weekend assault if air strikes continue without warning.
It said Israeli forces targeted four ambulances east of the city of Khan Younis overnight and that bombing of the city of Beit hanoun has put its only hospital out of service.
