Pro-Palestine Harvard student organizations blamed Israel solely for Hamas attacks killing 700 civilians.
The groups that issued the statement include the Harvard Undergraduate Palestine Solidarity Committee and Harvard Graduate Students for Palestine. Both organizations affirmed the joint statement by Harvard Palestine Solidarity Groups. “In doing so, we lament the devastating and rising civilian toll and emphasize the role of Israeli colonial occupation in creating these conditions of violence. As student groups at Harvard, we also call on the Harvard community to consider our University's institutional complicity in violence against Palestinians, through its investment in companies operating in illegal settlements,” the statement reads.
“As always, we reaffirm our demands for the university to disclose the full extent of its investments, divest, and reinvest in Palestinian communities,” he added. Political scientist Ian Bremmer said, “Can’t imagine who would want to identify with such a group.
