The 17-year-old driver, whose name has not been released, was airlifted to a Huntsville hospital. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.“The driver was attempting to elude a Hanceville Police Officer at the time of the crash,’’ King said. An officer spotted the vehicle and turned around in an attempt to try to stop the truck but lost sight of the vehicle.Authorities said speed and alcohol are believed to have played a role in the deadly crash. At least two of the fatality victims were students at Susan Moore High School in Blount County – Cayden and Dailan. Evan had attended the school but was no longer enrolled.
“With certainty, this is one of the hardest things we can face in our school and our community,’’ said Principal Marsha Mitchell. “Please ontinue to pray for the many days, weeks, and months ahead for the families of these students and the entirety of Bulldog Nation.”If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
