10 The First Mention Of Sith Lords Fascinatingly, the Sith Order and their rivalry with the Jedi Knights was ideated by George Lucas before A New Hope’s theatrical release. The Death Star conference room scene initially included a direct mention of Sith Lords, but this dialogue was trimmed out of the film’s final cut.
7 Endor Bunker Raid While Return of the Jedi’s final cut focuses mostly on the heroism of the Ewoks during the ground battle on Endor, one deleted scene involves Han Solo and his strike team of Rebels fighting Imperial Stormtroopers in the shield bunker. The scene is quick and brutal, with Solo’s team wiping out a squad of patrolling Stormtroopers and taking a casualty of their own.
4 Padmé Addresses The Senate The first act of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones nearly included a scene immediately following Zam Wesell’s failed assassination attempt on Padmé Amidala. Padmé would posit that the assassins were likely attempting to silence her from speaking out against the Republic’s militarizing in response to the Separatist Crisis.
