Zscaler Inc. ZS, -2.05% shares surged in the extended session Thursday after the cloud-based cybersecurity company topped Wall Street estimates. Zscaler shares soared 14% after hours, following a 2.
1% drop to close the regular session at $49.68. The company reported a fiscal second-quarter loss of $3.6 million, or 3 cents a share, compared with a loss of $9.1 million, or 29 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Adjusted earnings were 9 cents a share. Revenue rose to $74.3 million from $45 million in the year-ago quarter. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had forecast a loss of 1 cent a share on revenue of $66.4 million.
