We chat with BigShot star YNB about the mother-son dynamic in season 2, Sherlyn's response to coed education, and her dynamic with Jessalyn Gilsig's Holly:
Big Shot season 2 has premiered on Disney+, and the Westbrook Sirens are facing some of their toughest battles yet. Starring John Stamos as the reluctant coach of a high school girls' basketball team, the teen drama explores the ups and downs of adolescence as well as the personal and professional trials of the adults involved. While last season saw Coach Marvyn Korn win over his team and his daughter, this year raises the stakes with the introduction of boys to Westbrook.
Yvette Nicole Brown: She's very concerned. Even in the trailer, everybody's like, "Boys!" And Marvyn's like, "I don't know what's going on." She's like, "You have no idea what we are in for." And I think that she carries that energy throughout the entire season, where she sees that it's almost like she's the person on Titanic going, "Iceberg!" She sees that it's about to be really tough.
Yvette Nicole Brown: It's been wonderful. First of all, Jessalyn's working today, and that's the only reason she isn't able to be a part of this press day. But she has a wonderful arc this season in all areas. And I think she gives a tour de force performance as Coach Holly, as personal Holly, and as friend-to-Sherilyn Holly. I think Jessalyn is killing it. And I can't wait for everybody to get to see all the wonderful work that she does.
