A popular YouTuber is facing federal criminal charges over a video shot last summer showing fireworks being fired from a helicopter at a Lamborghini.The now-removed clip, titled 'Destroying a Lamborghini with Fireworks,' appeared on Alex Choi's channel in July 2023.
The FAA investigated the video, later revoking the helicopter pilot's license for operating the aircraft so close to people, while failing to display the vehicle's 'N' number and allowing the fireworks to be launched at the moving vehicle below.Material from that investigation, which also involved speaking with the drone operators, was passed onto the Department of Transportation to begin its investigation.
