police officers had to shoot two of the dogs when pepper spray failed to stop the attack. One of the dogs managed to run off and remains loose, WKBN reports.
“It is truly not to be believed. It’s actually horrific,” Youngstown police Capt. Jason Simon tells WKBN. “What this victim had to endure, getting mauled by those dogs.”The dogs reportedly escaped through a hole that had been chewed into a fence and attacked the unnamed victim. WKBN reports the man was dragged several feet by the dogs and that they tried to resume their attack when officers arrived. The victim reportedly has serious wounds on his neck and legs.
The dogs’ owner, Clarence Thigpen, has charged with five counts of owning vicious dogs, WFMJ reports. Four of the dogs are now with Animal Charity. If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
