A road-rage shooting on the Southeast Side claimed the life of a man in his 50s, according to San Antonio police. His daughter saw it happen and the suspects are still on the run.
Joann Quiroga, 24, was with her father when he was shot. She said they were on their way to run errands but two vehicles blocked both sides of the street. She identified one vehicle as a Challenger and the other as a Camaro.
“They stopped in the middle of the road to talk and then my dad was behind the Challenger. He was honking for them to move,” she said. A heated argument broke out between the two drivers in a nearby neighborhood before they pulled over. Joann’s father got out of his truck and approached the driver. Police said someone in the vehicle that her father approached pulled a gun and shot him.Joann’s father died at the scene, according to SAPD. She identified him as Ines Quiroga, but police have not yet confirmed his identity.The suspect’s vehicle is described as a black Challenger with matte stripes down the middle, a missing sideview mirror on the driver’s side and a loud exhaust pipe.
