The ankle-height sheepskin boots are getting increasingly hard to find as their popularity grows, so one TikToker took matters into their own hands and DIYed a pair of the UGG Ultra Minis.
had a pair of the classic, taller UGG boots and decided to take a scissor to the boot shaft, cutting it down to ankle height to resemble the Ultra Minis. "When you don't get mini UGG [boots] for Christmas so you have to take matters into your own hands," they wrote in their video, which was posted in December 2021. In the TikTok, we see them slice off the top of the boots, then cut them a bit shorter before using a seam ripper to undo the thread and restitching it.
