became CEO in January 2020, said she told the foundation’s board in the spring that she planned to retire at the end of the year. “I am confident that the board of directors will soon find a CEO that will continue the strategic road map that we started,” Dr. Nelson, 62 years old, said in a statement to The Wall Street Journal.
