THERE is a law, Republic Act 11165, or the 'Telecommuting Act,' which authorizes employers to have work arrangements that allow their workers to work from home or from some other places outside the premises of the employers, as long as workers' rights are protected.

I am of the view that allowing workers to work from home is a matter for the employers to decide as long as the rights, benefits and health of the workers are not compromised. This is very clear from the provisions of Republic Act 11165 otherwise known as the 'Telecommuting Act.' Accordingly, companies are not obliged to allow only a certain percentage of workers to work from home or from other sites.
