She says the situation has left her fearful.
“I’m at a loss,” Monique Sherman said.“I’m in fear for myself, and I’m also upset for other people,” Sherman said.“I was online actually posting, and then it flickered. And then it asked me to put in password. And I was like ‘OK,’ put in my password. It wouldn’t work,” Sherman said.“I kept on getting activity to my phone, saying I’m selling this, selling that, 73 things … chicken coops! Chicken coops, all kinds of stuff,” Sherman said.
The hacker appeared to be someone actually pretending to be her, saying to Sherman if she’s really interested, she can make a deposit to get the post out as soon as possible. “They made a post. People were tagging me and saying, ‘Oh yeah, we’re going to get her,’” Sherman said.
