A woman was fatally shot in front of her 9-year-old daughter and family late Sunday in west Houston in a case police were treating as a case of domestic violence, officials said.
Officers around 7:50 p.m. responded to the 11600 block of Briar Forest Drive where they found a woman dead at the scene, Lt. J.P. Horelica, of the Houston Police Department, told On Scene reporters.Witnesses told investigators she had gotten into a verbal argument with her boyfriend when he pulled a gun and fired at her several times, Horelica said. The shooting happened in front of multiple family members, including her 9-year-old daughter and an older woman.
