Andrea Vazquez was sitting on the trunk of her boyfriend's car just after midnight Sunday in Whittier, when police say they were shot at in a random attack in which she was kidnapped and killed.

She said her sister’s boyfriend told the family he and Andrea both jumped to the ground when the shooting began and that he was ducking around his car when he noticed Andrea was bleeding.
