The victim has not been identified but she is believed to be in her 40s, Martin said.
It was not immediately known how fast the the police vehicle was traveling or whether the officers were injured in the crash.At the time of the crash, the patrol vehicle did not have sirens and lights on, which is standard practice for this type of call, Martin said. Anytime an officer or a resident is seriously injured or killed, the officers are automatically placed on administrative duties and must begin the recertification process, Martin said.
