One woman died and another was hospitalized after fire raced through a house in Vineland on Friday morning, authorities said.

The fire started just before 9 a.m. in a single-family home on East Grape Street, officials said. Two women were in the house, said Vineland Fire Chief Luigi Tramontana.One woman was trapped by the flames and later pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. Her identity was not released.There were no injuries to firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation, Tramontana said.
