Another EV maker drops its price thanks to EO 12. WMMotor WMMotorPH WeltmeisterW5 EV CarGuidePH
, WM Motor Philippines has done the same with their Weltmeister W5., the WM W5 was made available with a price of P 2,548,000. However, thanks to the passing of Executive Order 12, the price of the all-electric SUV is now at P 2,248,000—a reduction of P 300,000.
Granted that this price reduction isn’t as drastic as Nissan Philippines with the Leaf, the WM W5 does have a stronger motor making 217 horsepower and 315 Nm. Its larger ternary lithium battery—52-kWh—means a longer range of 400 kilometers . Billed as an interactive car, the W5 will automatically unlock itself for as long as the key is within proximity of the vehicle. Once inside, passengers are treated to a roomy interior with a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system . It also boasts of a panoramic sunroof, dual zone climate control, a built-in dashcam, a N95 air filtration system, and even a smart UV light that kills bacteria and viruses in the car when it’s charging.
Speaking about charging, the W5 can be charged using a conventional 220-volt outlet or can be optioned with an exclusive WM home charger which WM Motor Philippine technicians can help install. It can also accommodate a DC fast charger using the GB/T standard.
