With Anthony Davis finally being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, it creates a bit of a dilemma for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The New Orleans Pelicans now have the fourth pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, one spot ahead of Cleveland. Because of this, the Cavaliers have to pivot their plans for the draft.

But even though the Pelicans will be selecting Williamson first-overall, there is some doubt that they will hold onto the pick they received from the Lakers. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, New Orleans has been receiving interest from other teams about the fourth-overall selection: This creates a bit of a dilemma for the Cleveland Cavaliers, who currently have the fifth-overall selection. Before the Davis trade went down, it seemed like the Lakers were locked in on Darius Garland, mostly because like James, he is a client of Klutch Sports. This would leave Culver ripe for the picking for the Cavaliers, and the two could not be a more perfect fit for each other.
Throughout the season, the Cavaliers under Larry Drew experimented a lot playing Sexton off the ball with George Hill, Matthew Dellavedova or Brandon Knight as the primary initiator. And for the most part, it worked. There is some hesitation internally within the Cavaliers that Sexton's playmaking will never properly develop so it isn't too far fetched to select another point guard in this year's draft.
