Usually it's a no-brainer that King Charles III would be in attendance at the annual Trooping the Colour celebration in London, but the British monarch has been undergoing treatment for cancer for much of this year. So with the king's ongoing treatment, many have asked if Charles will still participate in this year's festivities honoring his June 14th birthday.
He became the first monarch to revive the tradition of riding on horseback at Trooping the Colour since 1986, when his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, gave it up after turning 60. This year Charles is expected to conduct his review of the troops while seated in a carriage alongside his wife, Queen Camilla, as he continues his recovery from cancer treatment, Buckingham Palace announced.
