Sean Alter, a 6-foot-8 big man, will be eligible for five playing seasons in the UAAP for a UP side that has retooled following key departures.
MANILA, Philippines – The UP Fighting Maroons’ recruitment tour continued with another major addition as the program secured the commitment of Filipino-American standout Sean Alter.Alter, a 6-foot-8 big man with a 6-foot-11 wingspan, will be eligible for five playing seasons in the UAAP beginning Season 86 for a Fighting Maroons squad that has retooled following key departures last season.
Alter visited the University of the Philippines campus last October following his junior season and had the opportunity to watch the Fighting Maroons’ first-round victory over the Ateneo Blue Eagles in Season 85. “It really shows the commitment of coaches when they will fly to a whole other country to recruit a player. It’s one of the reasons I chose them out of others,” Alter shared.
