In a recent Instagram post, the actress briefly shared how she coped with her split with her former lover. “I dealt with my own breakup by developing a closer and deeper relationship with God. I kept praying for me and my ex-husband so that He could give us both the strength and energy to go through the pain of breaking up,” she wrote in the caption of her snap.
“God was the One who really helped me through everything. Up to this day, He is and forever will be my healer,” she added. Maxene later on addressed those who “find it weird” that she still posts her wedding photos even though her marriage “didn’t work out.” Aside from it being a way to “honor” her pain, she lightheartedly said: “Ang ganda ko sa photos, sayang naman. Lol.”
Maxene and Rob tied the knot in January 2018. Breakup speculations started circulating in January 2022, when they unfollowed each other on Instagram and Maxene dropped Rob’s surname from her IG profile.
