Media giant Comcast has made a habit of forcing the rival The Walt Disney Co. to pay dearly for what it wants.

Neither party would comment to Forbes about the CNBC report, though the revelation hardly comes as a surprise. Disney appears to be looking to consolidate its ownership of Hulu. On April 15, AT&T just sold its 10% stake in the streaming service for a cool $1.43 billion — a transaction that valued Hulu at $15 billion.

MoffettNathanson analyst Craig Moffett said Comcast's primary concern is that NBC's content would continue to be distributed by Hulu.
