“I really like our group, and I agree with Stephen,” Jerry Jones said. “We all know that the other teams that we’re going to be playing got some good things too out there. You talk about how good your team is, it’s got to be in comparison to where your competition is.”
Is it fair to say the NFC has three title contenders in Dallas, Philadelphia and San Francisco? The talent in other places gives you pause about believing in the Cowboys’ chances to make a deep playoff run. It’s telling for Jerry and Stephen to say this is one of the best rosters put together since the Romo years, considering Prescott led the Cowboys to a 13-3 mark in his 2016 rookie year.
