Thanks to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, there's a new Yellow Ranger in Angel Grove. But what will her future be in the franchise?
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always’ ending raises questions about the future of the franchise’s newest hero. Set 30 years after the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers show, the Netflix reunion featured the long-awaited return of several key characters, as well as the introduction of an additional Power Ranger. The debut of Minh Kwan added a new hero to the Power Rangers universe.
Of course, the primary purpose of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always was to shine the spotlight on cast members from the original series. Leading the way for the Power Rangers were Billy and Zack, two of the group’s five original members. Helping to fill out the roster for the Netflix special were Rocky and Kat, two of the replacement rangers from the second and third seasons respectively. Of course, going in this direction left a void in regards to the Yellow Ranger.

As her conversations with Billy and Zack imply, Minh didn’t just go through the transformation for one fight with Rita and her minions.
It's worth noting that Power Rangers Cosmic Fury currently boasts a Gold Ranger, but is currently lacking a Yellow Ranger. The show has a full team of six, but any surprise departures could open up a spot for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always’ Minh. That would make sense, as it’s not unprecedented for an individual Power Ranger to step away from the team and get replaced with another.
