Watch Live: Officials are providing an update on a brush fire in West Milford, New Jersey.
Temperatures have lingered in the 80s and officials said flames move quickly, even on controlled burns.
"It is very fatiguing and you start to see that fatigue set in when you're going day after day and through the night as well,"said McLaughlin."I'm very thankful that they're here and doing the job that they're supposed to be doing," said Keller. The wildfire's thick haze was visible for miles. No evacuation orders were in place, but residents were dealing with an intense burning smell.
"The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. As of right now we still have no injuries reported at this time that we're aware of," an official said."We're cooperating with more than a dozen other state, local and county resources at this fire. This is largest fire ... in the northern region of New Jersey since 2010."
