Burke is among the top amateur fencers in the United States, finishing in the top 10 of the 2021 Junior Olympics and top six of the 2022 Junior Olympics. He recently signed a National Letter of Intent to fence at Penn State. There are three disciplines in fencing: Sabre, Epee and Foil. Burke competes in Foil, where competitors can touch any part of the body with their weapon and score.
