Well-Paid Maids Review: “I Feel Like I Can Just Relax in My Space” (sponsor)

In 2017, Shirley and her husband were looking for a cleaning service for their D.C. apartment. Both worked high-stress jobs that required them to spend long days away from home. They tried out several services, but it’d take a long time for a crew to clean their small space — and it never actually felt that much cleaner.

“It was a totally different experience with Well-Paid Maids,” Shirley said. “Every time they come and clean, after I’m just like, ‘I feel so much better.’ I feel like I can just relax in my space.”Initially, they were attracted to the company’s ethos. Well-Paid Maids pays its cleaners a starting wage of $22 an hour, and they’re offered insurance, 24 paid days off per year, 100% employer-paid commuting costs and more.

But the couple also loves how easy it is to work with Well-Paid Maids. They have their cleanings set to autopilot, but if anything changes, they can just email the office to reschedule. Plus, the same cleaner shows up each time, so they get to know the couple’s cleaning preferences and can take any feedback into consideration.

“We really get to know them, and we feel really comfortable with them being in our house,” Shirley said. “They feel more like a member of our household.”Shirley and her husband agree: As long as they live in the D.C. area, they’ll continue using Well-Paid Maids.
