From 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, all southbound SR-125 lanes from westbound state Route 94 to Jamacha Road will be under repair
Motorists in Lemon Grove and Bonita should anticipate a change in their typical driving routes, as a portion of southbound state Route 125 will be closed all weekend.
, according to Caltrans. The closure will allow Caltrans to replace portions of concrete slab along the freeway. Caltrans spokesperson Stephen Welborn said this particular route has reached the end of its service life, making the closure a preventative measure. Southbound traffic will be directed to westbound SR-94, southbound Interstate 805 and eastbound state Route 54 to reach SR-125 connector ramps.
Westbound motorists will have to access SR-125 through Interstate 805 south to SR-54, while eastbound motorists are recommended to exit at Spring Street, Campo Road or Broadway before taking the on-ramp to SR-125 south.
