NATHANIEL FRAZIER For the Eagle It's easy to see why there have been scheduled changes for Wallace baseball this week. The field is absolutely unplayable and it may not be for several more days.
As of late Monday afternoon, there is standing water on the infield, standing water in the outfield, water outside the dugout, and even water in the dugouts. Outside the playing area is even worse. Players cannot even get to the field without trampling through standing puddles of water. So here's how the schedule stands as of Monday afternoon. Both of the games scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday at the Wallace campus have been canceled. The Govs will now travel to Tallahassee Community College on Wednesday afternoon to play a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m. eastern time. As of right now, barring much additional rain, Tallahassee will play at Wallace on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. This will be a nine-inning contest.
