We tested the Anyday Cookware set (for microwave cooking) to evaluate its performance, usability, and cleanup.

While the Anyday recipes were very easy to follow and simple in theory, the cook time for every single dish required some adjustments. Microwaves can range in power and wattage; the microwave I used had a standard 1000-watt output, but I still had to add extra time to some dishes.

Most of the dishes I made required just 30 seconds of adjustment, but the pumpkin pie was a challenge. This recipe had an additional step to change the power level to four . At the lower level, the pie failed to reach the desired doneness. Instead of the top of the pie darkening and the mixture looking set on top, the center of the pie continued to wiggle, jiggle, and shimmy.

This is to say: there may be a learning curve and adjustments may be required, as microwaves just aren't all the same. One fantastic aspect of the Anyday Cookware was just how easy the dishes were to clean. Thanks to the frosted exterior of the glass, the dishes didn’t get slippery even when wet and soapy. Aside from some stubborn bits of melted cheese stuck to the large deep dish from the mac and cheese, each dish and lid were painless to hand-wash .

For those who like to use a minimal amount of dishes while cooking, the Anyday Cookware would likely appeal. Each recipe required only measuring spoons or cups alongside using the dish itself. Meals could also be stored in the very same dishes they were cooked in, which was quite nice . When it came to handling the dishes, the frosted glass was easy to grip while moving into and out of the microwave. Unless the recipe required over five minutes of cooking, the dish and lid did not get overly hot to the touch. Anyday Cookware’s Everyday set turned out to be wonderfully functional, easy to clean, and a great purchase for those hoping to make meal preparation microwave-friendly and uncomplicated. We were happy with how well the cookware handled a variety of dishes.

Design and Fabrication of Flexible Copper Sensor Decorated with Bismuth Micro/Nanodentrites to Detect Lead and Cadmium in Noninvasive Samples of SweatDesign and Fabrication of Flexible Copper Sensor Decorated with Bismuth Micro/Nanodentrites to Detect Lead and Cadmium in Noninvasive Samples of SweatThe use of economic methods to design and fabricate flexible copper sensors decorated with bismuth micro/nanodentrites for the detection of lead and cadmium in sweat is demonstrated. The flexible copper sensors were constructed with simple and cost-effective materials; namely, flexible and adhesive conductive copper tape, adhesive label containing the design of a three-electrode electrochemical system, and nail polish or spray as a protective layer. The flexible copper device consisted of a working electrode decorated with bismuth micro/nanodentrites using an electrodeposition technique, a copper pseudo-reference and copper counter electrodes. Under optimal experimental conditions, the flexible sensing platform showed excellent performance toward the detection of lead and cadmium using differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPAdSV) in a wide linear range from 2.0 μM to 50 μM with acceptable reproducibility and repeatability, and limits of detection and quantification of 5.36 and 17.9 μM for Cd2+ ions and 0.76 μM and 2.5 for Pb2+ ions. Studies of addition and recovery in spiked artificial sweat sample were performed, with a recovery of 104.6%. The flexible copper device provides a great opportunity for application in wearable perspiration-based healthcare systems or portable sensors to detect toxic metals in biological samples.
