The side profile of the new Prius also reveals a plethora of changes. While it remains a five-door fastback like its predecessors, the roofline is sleeker than ever before to aid in aerodynamics and reduce the car’s coefficient of drag.has also gone to town on the rear-end of the new Prius by ditching the curiously-shaped taillights of its predecessors and instead opting for a simple LED light bar.
It is understood that the new Toyota Prius will be underpinned by the carmaker’s E3 platform that combines components from the ICE-compatible TNGA-C platform and the EV-only architecture used by Toyota’s bZ range of EVs.aren’t yet known but there is speculation that a hydrogen-electric hybrid powertrain could be added to the Prius range in 2025. Such a model could be the first production model to utilize Toyota’s hydrogen internal combustion engine.
