Draymond Green underwent additional testing Sunday after a knee injury sidelined him for a second straight game.

“It flared up today,” Kerr said pregame. “So he will be more thoroughly checked out today by our medical staff. It was sort of unexpected the way he came through treatment yesterday. Everything was looking good and he had a setback today so we’ll learn more today and we’ll have more tomorrow.”

And now, there’s Green, who will be out for the foreseeable future with what the team is calling a right knee contusion.Thompson has played a big part of that, putting the Warriors on his back the last two games. After pouring in 42 points in a needed win over the Houston Rockets on Friday, Thompson stepped up again Sunday.

But with Thompson off the floor, the Timberwolves started to pull away. The visitors closed out the third quarter on a 7-2 run and then carried that momentum into the fourth. Minnesota was up 10 when Thompson checked in at the 8:17 mark.
