Five FBCA tennis players land state championship berths
FBCA's Josephine Krueger readies herself for a return shot during the District 4 Tournament at the Strawberry Park tennis courts Tuesday. She and doubles partner Lauren Gefrides will next take their game to Waco.With strong winds coming out of the south and good competition found on the east, west and north tennis courts, there was no escaping the potential detours at the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools District 4 team tennis competition at Strawberry Park Tuesday.
Logos Prep was at its toughest in girls doubles where the Lions will be sending a district champion and runner-up to the biggest test of the season. Capturing first was the duo of Hannah Gonzalez and Megan Caudle. In second place were teammates Anna McCormack and Lauren Park. In boys doubles, the Warriors will send John Kim and Andy Nguyen to state after the pair captured the fourth and final berth to state.
