The 2023 Volkswagen ID.4, with a 62-kilowatt-hour battery, starts at an MSRP of $38,995, while the 82-kWh battery version starts at $43,995. When including the $1,295 destination charge and deducting the $7,500 federal tax credit, the effective price happens to be respectively $32,790 and $37,790.
