Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy said he has no plans to take a Cabinet position if he loses the nomination.
In an interview on the Steve Hilton Show on Tuesday, Ramaswamy quashed rumors that he was only running to get a Cabinet position, saying that if he were to lose the 2024 race, he would return to the private sector.“I would not," he answered when asked if he would take a position in the administration of whoever the Republican victor would be.
Ramaswamy said he believes he will be having an impact on the race, even if he is not successful in securing the 2024 GOP nomination."I think in our movement, there's a lot thinner of a bench when it comes to people who actually know how to build great enterprises, achieve great success. I've been writing one book every six months on average before this campaign in parallel with building those businesses," he said.
A spokesman for Ramaswamy commented earlier that the entrepreneur is running for president and isn't interested in being the vice president for another candidate.
