A family that was boating in Casco Bay in Maine near Cliff Island around 3 p.m. on Aug. 19, 2022 spotted a juvenile great white shark feeding on a harbor porpoise, according to posts by the MA Sharks Facebook page and the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy. It was a seriously unlucky day for one porpoise in the coastal waters of New England earlier this month.

Kasey Lyn Watkins took a roughly 30-second video of the deadly encounter. At first, she and her family appear to be trying to determine what the animals in the water are, that is until the great white munches on its prey.Video contains some graphic footage and may be difficult for some viewers to watch.
