Anderson died after suffering a cardiac arrest after being repeatedly tasered by police in Los Angeles.
The incident began when officers were called to a traffic collision at the intersection of Venice and Lincoln Boulevards.
After being told he was one of the drivers, a motorbike-riding police officer stopped Anderson whilst he was running in the road. Anderson, appearing distressed and erratic, told the officer someone was trying kill him and"put stuff" in his car. The officer instructed Anderson to remain where he was, describing the incident as a"possible DUI [driving under the influence]" on his radio.
Los Angeles Police Department have released body camera footage of the 3 January encounter with 31 year-old Keenan Anderson, who later died in hospital after a cardiac arrest. A clip from the video has been viewed more than 350,000 times on Twitter.After a couple of minutes, Anderson ran away from the officer who pursued on motorbike, catching up in the middle of traffic along with a number of other officers.
