St. Francis last won a state title in 2010 when the Lancers took the Division II title. Leading the offense for St. Francis is a one-two punch of Taylor Williams, who has 343 kills, and Erin Curtis, who has 340 kills. … Cathedral is back in search of its first Open Division crown.
Cathedral defeated Manhattan Beach Mira Costa 25-20, 15-25, 25-14, 25-17 in the Southern California Regional Finals behind a 25-10 edge in blocks. The Dons dropped their first set this season in this match. Against Mira Costa, the Dons were led by Noemie Glover’s 16 kills and three blocks, Jenna Hanes with 10 kills and four blocks, Ryleigh Patterson with five kills and nine blocks and Milan Bayless with five kills and five blocks.
