The younger Guillermo, an Apache helicopter pilot, saw action in Iraq and Afghanistan until the US pulled out from those countries. He supervised the final air operations of bringing out US assets and the evacuation of Americans from Kabul as the Taliban took over the administration of Afghanistan.Guillermo plans to continue serving the US government as a consultant in US Army aviation matters, his father said.
