Reports suggest the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua is linked to various crimes, including a Denver jewelry heist, attacks on New York City police officers, and the murder of Laken Riley. Experts warn that the gang's well-structured nature and violent tactics pose a significant threat, as they expand their presence and engage in turf wars with local gangs.

Allegedly the perpetrators in a brazen Denver jewelry store heist in June, the beating of New York City Police officers in January and the man convicted in the murder of Laken Riley are reported to be part of the Venezuela n gang Tren de Aragua. 'They are a violent gang,' said John Fabbricatore in an interview with Sinclair on Monday. 'They are well structured and they’re here to make money.

They’re gonna identify states that are out there that they can go to and they can write ATM machines, do extortion, prostitution. They don’t care they see the U.S. as a big money pit.'“I don’t care if it's in one apartment complex,' Fabbricatore said. 'It should be in zero apartment complexes in the U.S. We had the opportunity to do something about it early. It didn’t happen, and now this gang has just grown.”Maryland officers are warning about the spread. 'Tren de Aragua is starting to come into the city of Baltimore, which is new for the city police department,' Matthew Elliston, Baltimore's ICE Director, told WBFF. One major fear already appears to be occurring: TDA takes on local gangs to try to compete over territory, drug profits and status, 'Recently there was a video that they shot where they shot an individual a cartel member 31 times in broad daylight and posted it to social media,' said David Rausch, the Director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. But given how much the gang has grown, experts warn we should expect to see more incidents of violence from Tren de Aragua at least into the spring and summer of 2025
