Seeking to turn the page on the most traumatic event in the city's history, Uvalde 's city council has affirmed a consultant's finding that city police officers obeyed department policy in responding to the 2022 mass shooting at Robb Elementary School and were not to blame for the carnage.
Expert says Uvalde police not to blame for bungled school shooting response Speaking just before the council adjourned, Zamora said police consultant Jesse Prado's report on the Robb massacre established that Uvalde Police Department officers 'complied with UPD policies at the time of the shooting,' in which 19 fourth graders and two teachers were killed. 'However, the bottom line is that members of our beloved community were not adequately protected that day,' Zamora said.
