The meeting will mark only the second time a team earned home-field advantage in the C-USA title game in consecutive seasons. Friday will mark the 11th meeting between the programs — matching the most times the Roadrunners have locked up with an opponent. The series sits 5-5, with six games decided by eight points or fewer.
As the Roadrunners push through multiple injuries, Traylor said attendance must “get to 45 if we’ve got a chance.” The Roadrunners’ approach in the rematch will be similar, Brown said, and linebacker Trey Moore said UTSA is focused on a physical style of play.
