Two men, including one from Southern Utah, have died after a head-on crash involving two semi trucks in Idaho.
Idaho State Police said the collision happened just after 6:30 a.m. Friday on eastbound I-84 at milepost 110 near Mountain Home, Idaho.
They said a 40-year-old man from Hartford, Connecticut, was traveling westbound on the interstate in a 2020 Freightliner semi pulling a single trailer.A 35-year-old man from Hurricane, Utah, was traveling westbound in a 2015 Peterbilt semi pulling a single trailer. According to officials, the driver of the Freightliner crossed the median and collided with the Peterbilt head-on in the right lane.
Both drivers died of their injuries at the scene of the crash. Officials said both drivers were wearing seatbelts.An investigation of the crash remains ongoing.
