Harris arrived at 6:52 p.m. on Sunday at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport aboard Air Force Two. She was welcomed by Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Manuel Romualdez, Pasay Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano, Pasay Rep. Antonino Calixto, United States Ambassador to the Philippines Marykay Carlson and other officials.
According to previous interviews with a senior US official, Harris is expected to have several engagements on Monday, starting off with a meeting with her counterpart, Vice President Sara Duterte. After that, she will then hold a “longer bilateral meeting” with Marcos Jr., with a focus on “strengthening our security alliance and economic relationship.”
