U.S. gymnastics legend Mary Lou Retton is 'fighting for her life' in the intensive care unit as she battles pneumonia, according to her daughter.

ANYTHING, absolutely anything, would be so helpful for my family and my mom. Thank y’all so very much!", becoming the first American woman to win an individual Olympic gold medal in gymnastics. Her individual all-around gold was one of five medals she captured at the 1984 Games, along with two silver and two bronze medals.
