The data"indicates that ransomware is an increasing threat to the U.S. financial sector, businesses, and the public," says the report from Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network.The report comes as the Biden administration has looked for multiple ways to cut off revenue streams for Russian-speaking ransomware groups that have extorted millions of dollars from major US companies.
