British counterterrorism police have detained three men in connection with an explosion at a Liverpool hospital that killed one person and injured another. It hasn't been declared a terrorist attack, but counterterrorism police lead the investigation.

Counter-terrorism police in Britain are investigating an explosion at a hospital Sunday in the city of Liverpool that killed one person and injured another. Police were called to reports of a blast involving a taxi that pulled up at Liverpool Women’s Hospital shortly before the explosion took place Sunday morning.
Police also cordoned off another residential street in the city. They did not disclose details of the operation. The male passenger of the car died and the driver was being treated for non life-threatening injuries, police said.
